They’re back! And they’re still delicious! Since this give away has been such a hit over the years, we would like to offer our amazing clients another free pie to express our appreciation. FIG Real Estate is a big fan of the Pie Factory, who has been serving Houston delicious treats for over 40 years.

We’ll be taking orders starting now through December 12th. Pick-up will take place at FIG Headquarters, 512 Heights Blvd., on December 19th, between 1:00-3:00 p.m.
 

Place your order and then stop by to say Hi. We would love to give you and your family a free pie to help celebrate the holidays!

Here’s What I Think Is Worth Reading:

• Rice University has unveiled a $120 million project that will connect the campus to Rice Village via a pedestrian oriented street. Looks like an amazing development for the University and that area.
• The Ismaili Center at Montrose and Allen Parkway is now open. You can read another good article about it here. It’s a gorgeous facility, the first of its kind in the US and only the 7th worldwide. It should be open to the public this month!
• A huge development is coming to River Oaks. Transwestern has begun construction on phase 2 of RO, a 17 acre mixed use development near West Alabama and Buffalo Speedway which will include a hotel, residences, restaurants and retail.
• Memorial City Mall is set for major renovation starting in 2026 which will include demolition of 13% of the current building.
• Eataly is coming to Houston! I know a new restaurant in Houston is not major news but it’s my wife’s favorite place. She worked at the one in New York and it has a grocery store connected to it that is pretty amazing. Go check it out!
• In super nerdy infrastructure news… Texans approved the $20 billion fund for the Texas water supply. I was happy to see that pass and think it’s a problem that could get really bad without early investment.

Congratulations to Gen & Brandon Galvan on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Liam James! Fun fact: FIG was introduced to the Galvans by Brandon’s mother Valerie (our favorite escrow officer with Charter Title Co.), and we helped this cute couple buy their very first home in March of this year. New home and new baby, what a wonderful 2025. Welcome to the world little Liam!

This Thanksgiving, FIG Broker Michael and Agent Sarah gathered with their extended families in College Station for a peaceful, outdoorsy holiday. The weekend was filled with kids running around, crackling bonfires, and plenty of good food. Moments like these remind us how special it is to slow down and enjoy the people we love.
