I’m curious to try the new bar from Goode Co. They’re opening a mezcal bar in the River Oaks Shopping Center called Bar Buena. Food and drink menu looks very good. Let us know if you go!
The Near Northside continues its development… new luxury apartments have gone up across the bayou from White Oak Music Hall and feature stadium seating that looks at the outdoor stage!
People are not using Airbnb as often as they used to and it’s having a big impact on local real estate. Galveston real estate is reeling with an insane number of homes on the market and no one buying. If you were ever considering that beach house, this is the year to do it!
A Heights historic site begins construction. I’m curious to check out this trail front hub.
Rice University is expanding the ION. They are expanding and adding a second building.
I love Houston sports. I’m a homer through and through. And sure, stadiums break down over time. Buuuut shouldn’t the people making billions of dollars off these franchises pay for these updates? Of course the current plan is to increase our taxes. How about some ownership of the team in exchange for our tax dollars? Seems fair to me.

Congratulations to Katie & Wynn Boss (and proud pup Geordi) on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Willard Erwin Boss IV. “Billy” is already embracing life as a true Heights resident, enjoying evenings out with the family at Goode Co. Cantina and Coltivare. Everyone is happy, healthy, and loving this new chapter.

And congratulations to former FIG agent and client Courtney Adamez and her boyfriend Jared on their engagement! After a Saturday night date, Jared surprised Courtney with a spontaneous proposal at home – and she said yes! The two are taking their time to enjoy the moment while their families celebrate alongside them.
