 Free Electronics Recycling

Here at FIG, our mission is to change people’s lives by improving where they live and work – and that includes protecting the environment!

As technology continues to evolve, so does the need to properly dispose of outdated devices which often contain hazardous materials. That’s why FIG is partnering with CompuCycle to offer a free residential drop-off service. We’re making it simple for you to recycle old or broken electronics in an environmentally friendly way, all while ensuring that your personal data remains secure.

Whether you’re looking to clear out old computers, smartphones, or other devices, bring them to us! Our drop-off service is designed to make recycling easy for you AND beneficial for the planet.

Here’s What I Think Is Worth Reading:

• From the Good News Department: Enchanted Rock State Park is doubling in size! Texas Parks and Wildlife purchased a 3,073 acre property adjacent to the park. The funding came from the voter approved Centennial Parks Conversation Fund.
  • More from the GND: Texas Parks and Wildlife purchased 2,020 acres on the Colorado River for a new state park. It is on the other side of the river from Colorado Bend State Park and features some really cool terrain. Keep up the good work!
• The Heights is getting another interesting bar. Located in the historic building that was the original location of Spanish Flowers, people from Johnny’s Gold Brick and Dan Electro’s are teaming up to open a West Texas themed bar called Starduster Lounge. I’m curious how it will turn out (and really happy they saved that cool old building)!
• Close my heart, the Astros announced they will be installing new seats at Daikin Park. Yes, that’s the new name after a change in corporate sponsorship but it will always be the Juice Box to me.
• The future of commercial retail spaces is changing before our eyes. Radom Capital, who did Heights Mercantile and MKT, is now remodeling warehouses at Memorial City Mall to a community hub. Hopefully this will continue and help us evolve away from the concrete jungle.
• Exxon is getting into the electricity supply business. What’s interesting is the plat will capture 90-100% of its own emissions.

And last but not least…

Free Pie Give Away – Once again, FIG got to say a big THANK YOU by offering a free pie to our amazing clients! We wanted to celebrate the holidays, express our appreciation for another wonderful year, and see some familiar faces. The Podadera Family is one of our dear clients that made the journey to FIG world headquarters to visit and grab a pie!

Riley & Lynden – We met Riley and Lynden a few years ago when FIG helped them find a place to lease. And we are thrilled to announce that during a recent road trip to visit family, Riley spontaneously popped the question! Now that they are engaged, FIG is helping them find the perfect home to buy. Congratulations to you both!
