Here’s What I Think Is Worth Reading:

• As you can probably tell driving around town, Houston’s population is exploding. Houston is the second fastest-growing metro in the U.S.. 
• Houston is vying to become a tech hub for clean energy. This town just keep rolling.
• The East End keeps getting cooler. The Farmer Brothers Company Coffee plant is getting redeveloped into an arts and educational campus.
• The old Mandola’s site in Montrose has been converted to a Mexican Beer Garden and I’m up for it! I feared we’d get more apartments so this is a nice surprise. I have not visited it yet but will do soon. Anyone with a review?
• What do you think of the 3D printed luxury homes being developed in Marfa? Originally the 3D printed homes were supposed to bring prices down but these are going for $900,000!
• Sooooooo Texas’ tallest building in Austin is only going to be about half as tall as originally planned. Stay in your lane Austin. Now if we could only get them to cut the number of luxury high rises in half that would be great.
• The Texas House of Representatives has approved the formation of a Texas Space Commission.
• The Houston Open is returning to the Spring and will be held a couple weeks before the Masters. Great news as the weather is much better and it will also bring a stronger field of competitors.
